Messaging workers from the console
Where messages live
In the sidebar under Main, click Messages. You'll see a two-pane layout: worker list on the left (newest conversation at the top), thread on the right.
Unread counts show on the sidebar item and on each worker in the list. The Messages page header also surfaces workers available to contact and active conversations.
Send a message to one worker
Click the worker in the left pane, type in the bottom input, hit Send. They get a push notification on the worker app (if notifications are enabled — see Notifications) and the message shows instantly in their Messages tab.
Broadcasts
At the top of Messages, click Broadcast Message. Pick workers (all, by job, by trade, or hand-picked), write once, send. Each worker gets it as a 1:1 message in their app. Replies come back to you individually so you don't get a 40-person group chat.
Notify a worker from their profile
On any worker profile page there's a Notify Worker button (top right). Use it for quick pings tied to something specific — missed clock-in, RAMS overdue, doc upload.
How replies work
Workers can reply from the Messages tab in their app. You'll see their reply in the console and the sidebar badge goes up. There's no Slack-style threading — it's a simple chat per worker. Keep it tight.
